Yuma Has Been a Nice Respite

We will leave tomorrow, extending our stay here by one day.

I won’t say we love it here, but I’m glad we stopped by for a bit. We had a nice stroll through old town last night and found a restaurant with a decent set of vegan options.

I played golf today at one of the few public 18 hole courses in town. Surprising for Arizona but maybe the land is much more valuable for the agriculture here. Orchards and farms are everywhere, clearly benefiting from the Colorado basin irrigation.

This was our first stay at one of the Escapees co-ops and it had been very welcoming. We could only get a dry camping spot but the other amenities made up for it. The community center here is vibrant and Julie and I did work there both days.
