Wildlife Photography

About 10 years ago I sold off or gave away all of my Canon photo gear, which I had used for sports and wildlife photography. After struggling with a Canon PowerShot SX70 on my last Africa trip, I resolved to re-enter the serious wildlife photography game.

After much discussion with three photographers experienced with the Canon mirrorless world, I settled on the Canon EOS R6 Mark II, starting with the RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM lens and RF 2x extender. I’m very happy with the results! So many opportunities right here at Keuka Lake, plus I made stops near Erie PA and at Allegheny State Park last week.
