Meteor crater

On a whim Julie pulled off I-40 after passing Winslow AZ to visit the Meteor Crater, a privately run National Landmark. She remembered the site being mentioned in a recent RadioLab.

The cost was $22 per person, and in hindsight we had regrets. We hopped on the included guided tour and I immediately had regrets. Our guide was annoying and we were TRAPPED for an hour. No way out with the door locked behind us.

The story and history are interesting! But the museum was lacking and the guide poorly trained. Wish this was a public treasure instead.
