Scotland 2025 Travel Plan

Flights
Plan to start looking at flights in August 2024. This can vary by airline. You’ll want to arrive in Edinburgh the morning of Saturday June 28, and depart the morning of July 12.
Here are example flights that Julie and I will probably take:
- New York/Newark EWR to Edinburgh EDI, Friday 8:10 pm to Saturday 7:55 am (next day)
- Edinburgh EDI to New York/Newark EWR, Saturday 8:25 am to Saturday 12:25 pm

- Ghillies Lodge, three double bedrooms (double or twin beds), all with ensuite bathrooms which have a separate shower and bath. Chris/Julie, Matthew/Lauren, Jennifer/Todd
- Benula Lodge, four bedrooms, one double bedroom and shower room, single bedroom, shower room including wc, two double bedrooms, both en-suite. Dave/Lisa, Mike/Britt, Paul/Lisa, Geoff.
- Weir Cottage, three bedrooms – a double with en-suite bathroom, and two single rooms with a shared family bathroom which has a shower over the bath. Andrew/Adrienne/Harper.

- Cost is £5000 for 6 nights, about $72 per person per night
- 9 total bedrooms
- Shand Kydd, the master being a large double with King bed, and a large en-suite with walk in shower and roll-top bath. Andrew/Adrienne/Harper.
- Palace is a twin room with stunning views and twin beds. It has an en-suite shower room with shower, wc and whb. Chris/Julie.
- Diana is the room decorated for Diana, and is south facing with a yellow theme. It has a king bed and ensuite shower, wc and whb. Todd/Jennifer.
- Lomond is a large and bright twin room, also south-facing, and has a family bathroom with roll-top bath, wc and whb next to it. Matthew/Lauren.
- Wills and Harry, the rooms used by the Princes when they stayed with their grandmother, are on the second floor. Both are large and airy, and share a family bathroom with bath, wc and whb. Mike/Britt.
- Steading cottage has two double bedrooms, one featuring a spacious en-suite bathroom complete with a bath and shower combination. There’s also a smaller room with bunk beds, perfect for children or extra guests. Additionally, a large family bathroom features a luxurious, walk-in rainfall shower. Dave/Lisa, Paul/Lisa, Geoff.
