Hiking the Treasure Loop Trail in the Superstition Mountains

Julie and I left the cold mountain climate of Flagstaff this morning to our new temporary home outside of Phoenix in the town of Apache Junction. We made it here in time to hike the short Treasure Loop trail in the Superstition Mountains.

We are normally early morning hikers so this was an amazing change up for us. The parking lots were pretty wide open (I’m sure it was packed at 10am) and the hike took an hour. Great way to stretch our legs after a three hour drive.

We’ll do another hike in the morning, I’ll play some golf and do some school work in the evening, then who knows. We might head south of Phoenix for a bit.
